We are so excited to have you join our agency!
Starting a new career as an agent is both thrilling and challenging, but with the right guidance and preparation, you can build a strong foundation for long-term success. This checklist is designed to help you navigate the early days of your real estate journey, ensuring you’re equipped with the essential tools, knowledge, and strategies to thrive in this competitive industry.
1. SFG APPLICATION
You will receive an email from Symmetry Onboarding with a link to create an account with our onboarding system, as well as an invitation, to complete your SFG application. Please fill this out as soon as possible and from a desktop – not a mobile device (it is time sensitive).
2. PRE-LICENSING COURSE + EXAM
You will receive a text with information on how to register for pre-licensing course as well as a link to sign up for your state exam. We recommend scheduling your test as soon as you sign up for the pre-licensing course.

3. WHATSAPP GROUP
You need to Download “Whatsapp”. Join Group Here , when this is completed, please notify your Hiring Manager. This is where we communicate as an agency and celebrate each other! If notifications are too much for you, please mute the threads but check in regularly!
4. COMMUNITY CONNECTION
While waiting for your state to approve licensure, it is imperative that you begin plugging into our agency zoom huddles, company calls, and dial rooms. Your hiring agent will send you a list of current calls as well as how to access them. These will be great resources for you as you get started.

5. PASS STATE EXAM
Yeah! Be sure to let your mentor know! Let’s make sure we celebrate you as well!
6. APPLY FOR LICENSE
Instructions for your state can be found on the NIPR website at nipr.com – Licensing Center – Apply for Resident License. Each state has their own fees and requirements; some states will require you to be fingerprinted. Be sure you follow the appropriate licensing process for your resident state: https://prepare2pass.com/requirements

7. AML TRAINING
While you wait for license approval, please complete AML training. This training will be needed in the future when we begin carrier contracting.
8. E&O INSURANCE
While you wait for license approval, please obtain E&O insurance. This insurance is required for MOST of our carriers. Proof of insurance will also be required when we begin carrier contracting.

9. LICENSE APPROVAL
Once you receive your state license approval you will want to be on the lookout for your NPN number. This number is needed for your SFG application and can be found online within 24-48 hours of receiving your state license number.

10. SFG APPROVAL
Once your application is approved by Symmetry, you will receive an email welcoming you as a new agent. This email will include how to access Quility HQ (our agent portal), as well as a log into our CRM (OPT!) which is the lead system. This will also include Surelc (contracting portal) which will have the contracts for you to sign and get back to Symmetry. Please complete and let your mentor know.
11. SUBMIT FIRST APPLICATION
We recommend all new agents write an application on themselves, spouse, or child as soon as they get OPT log in credentials. This can be a large or small policy – it does not matter! What matters is that you experience the process. Doing so will familiarize you with our quoting tools, the e-application process, and give you an idea of what the client experience is like. It is also a great time to work out any kinks you may have on your end before writing on a lead or warm market client. Please connect with your hiring agent to begin this process.
12. NEW AGENT TRAINING

14. PROMOTION
Your first goal is to promote in commission level. You can do these one of two ways – as a producer or builder. Please talk with your hiring agent about the two track options. You can also earn a SLINGSHOT Bonus (details below).
